About Puka

Puka

Puka is located in the northwest of Albania, in a mainly mountainous territory, on the border between the Albanian Alps and the Dukagjin area, extending into an area with significant natural values and panoramic landscapes. Its geographical position, far from dense urban areas and connected through road axes with Shkodra and the north of the country, gives Puka a special character as a destination of tranquility, nature and sustainable tourism.

The town of Puka and the surrounding territory have a history closely linked to the mountain life, ancient traditions and community organization of the northern areas of Albania. This historical and cultural heritage has been preserved over the centuries through customs, traditional architecture and way of life, making Puka an area with a strong cultural identity.

Puka represents a destination with high potential for the development of natural, rural and mountain tourism. The area is characterized by dense forests, alpine meadows, lakes, water sources and clean air, creating ideal conditions for holidays away from urban noise and experiences closely connected to nature. The territory offers beautiful landscape contrasts that change with the seasons, making the destination attractive all year round.

Puka's natural heritage is one of its main tourist assets, accompanied by traditional villages, guesthouses and developed forms of agrotourism that preserve local authenticity.
